Local ministry background:
Radmila grew up in an atheistic family, typical for the communist regime of that time. After the fall of communism, in 1993, she studied in the USA, where she signed up for the debate group ‘Questions over the Bible’ purely out of a desire to broaden her horizons and get a basic overview of Christianity. Eventually, she began attending the local Christian community and in 1994 she gave her life to Jesus. From the beginning of her personal journey with God, she perceived a vocation to serve children.

Radmila is a HY Worker in the renowned non-profit organization called the Spider’s Web. In cooperation with her colleagues, who are also involved in the Healthy Youth ministry program – with Ivo Neuvirt and Adriana Malotova – she is actively involved in the development of HY ministry in the Ostrava region. Radmila offers schools HY programs especially for children in grades 1 to 3.

In her follow-up activities, Radmila is actively involved in the various activities of their non-profit organization: trips, suburban camps, leisure-time clubs. At the same time, she offers children the possibility of online communication via e-mail or social networks.

More about programs

How she became a HY Worker:
After finishing her maternity leave, Radmila started working as a teacher. At the same time, she began to actively devote herself to children and youth in leisure-time clubs.
Her professional direction was quite influenced when she and her husband took children into foster care.

She writes: “My horizons broadened and I began to perceive more how sick our society is, how humanity is disappearing. And more than before, I felt the tension to actively participate in its recovery. Working with children as part of prevention, the opportunity to bring light and hope where there is sadness and fear, to help distinguish good from evil, that seems to me like a meaningful investment of time and energy.”
